Adobo Seasoning

This 'easy to make yourself' spice mixture is typically used in Mexican dishes. It usually consists of garlic, onion, black pepper, oregano, cumin and cayenne red pepper. Use it as a rub on various meats before grilling or use in taco meat mixtures.

2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp paprika
2 tsp ground black pepper
1 1/2 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili powder

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix well. Store in a sealed jar in a cool, dry place.
