I love spending time in both my garden (we're heading into Fall now) and reading.

Jaime -- Sounds like an intriguing book. :) Glad to hear there are other people who enjoy some of my favourite shows! Who cannot love Sheldon and Wolowitz?!? ;)

Jen -- I've heard of Alicia Silverstone's book but haven't read it. If it doesn't have usable recipes for my family and I I'm just not interested. For me, a cookbook has to be functional. Something I learned the hard way with Jessica Seinfeld's cookbook. :sLaurie@The Baking Bookwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17678146631438774221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648528809470059310.post-63669898043973397742011-09-17T13:53:16.146-04:002011-09-17T13:53:16.146-04:00I've been reading, and I use that term VERY lo...I've been reading, and I use that term VERY loosely here, The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone. I'm not really getting into it though. Sounds kind of preachy and tells you to pretty much not eat anything but cardboard because everything is bad for you. And there's not ONE recipe in the recipe section that my kids would go anywhere near! I think it may be time to give up on it and return it to the library...Jen at The Three Little Pigletshttp://www.thethreelittlepiglets.com/2011/09/spiced-fig-and-pear-preserves/#contentnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648528809470059310.post-7701868223922585242011-09-17T10:31:05.464-04:002011-09-17T10:31:05.464-04:00I'm currently reading 'Moonwalking with Ei...I'm currently reading 'Moonwalking with Einstein' by Joshua Foer. And how fitting too, given that its about the human brain and it's capacity for memory!

Congratulations on your return to work. I remember the craziness of it all and will need to dive back in at some point. :)

Oh, and we are Big Bang Theory and Modern Family watchers here too! I love their humour!Jaimenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648528809470059310.post-57408554765786783972011-09-17T01:52:11.899-04:002011-09-17T01:52:11.899-04:00I am very busy coming weeks with my garden as spr...I am very busy coming weeks with my garden as spring is knocking:) Afraid my books are goona gather some dust before I get to them:)Great selection from you;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648528809470059310.post-717570128010008782011-09-16T21:54:53.044-04:002011-09-16T21:54:53.044-04:00Lol Christina, I just left you a tweet about The S...Lol Christina, I just left you a tweet about The Secret Circle. I'm just in the middle of it (loving it so far!!) and haven't yet watched the premiere of Vampire Diaries. Very excited though. :)

I've heard of The Summer I Turned Pretty. Let me know what you think of it. I have no idea what it's about but I've heard talk about the book and have heard positive rumblings. :)Laurie@The Baking Bookwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17678146631438774221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648528809470059310.post-49682960347943850472011-09-16T21:46:54.502-04:002011-09-16T21:46:54.502-04:00I'm so excited to have Tv shows back!
