I noticed yesterday that it's for sale at Costco for only $9 if anyone is interested. A really good read. If you love that style of writing make sure you pick up books by Canadian author Susanna Kearsley!!Laurie@The Baking Bookwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17678146631438774221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648528809470059310.post-26513954629992012842010-09-27T15:53:49.271-04:002010-09-27T15:53:49.271-04:00I just finished "The Forgotten Garden" b...I just finished "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morton. I think I put it on hold when you told me about the book (I hadn't realized it was a young adult book). I'm looking forward to reading it. Apparently it's a movie too.Laurie@The Baking Bookwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17678146631438774221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648528809470059310.post-2959711236924762732010-06-11T21:58:29.412-04:002010-06-11T21:58:29.412-04:00I just finished "The Boy in the Striped Pajam...I just finished "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas". I loved it!!! It was interesting to hear the story told from the perspective of a completely innocent 9 year old German boy. It was a quick read for me...knocked it off in 3 hours. It kept me completely entranced. Highly recommended read.Farmer Giesenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14403911028631254316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648528809470059310.post-36043953563025466882010-06-11T12:04:14.768-04:002010-06-11T12:04:14.768-04:00I'm more than half way through Red Tent and I&...I'm more than half way through Red Tent and I'm liking it. Like Kym, I love that it's from women's perspectives and wonder what the Bible would have been like had it been written by women. Just proves women should have written the Bible. :)Kymnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648528809470059310.post-66203085185807239572010-06-10T22:11:55.436-04:002010-06-10T22:11:55.436-04:00Well, with my recent back injury, I was able to ge...Well, with my recent back injury, I was able to get in a fair amount of reading. I (finally) finished Gabaldon's "Echo in the Bone" (yah!), started and finished Alice Eve Cohen's, "What I Thought I Knew" and The Book of Negroes (and I hate to say this, I enjoyed it, but didn't love it. Too much anticipation I think). Now, I'm on to The Endless Forest. I'm so glad the story has finally gone back to Paradise, except that I've forgotten many of the characters and their story's. Next up, with the help of Lizzie Lou will be the latest in the House of Night series.Mommydoodlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08580191801530375442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648528809470059310.post-85255666734138158462010-06-09T06:27:23.429-04:002010-06-09T06:27:23.429-04:00I hope you LOVE the red tent, it is a fantastic bo...I hope you LOVE the red tent, it is a fantastic book, really great! I am currently reading a Jasper Fforde book called Shades of Grey. He wrote a really great series starting with the Eyre Affair. It is a satirical book that pokes fun at characters from the classics, be prepeared to be a little confused when you first read him, he's an aquired taste, but really good if you like quirky, dark humour. I also just re-read the hunger games and catching fire in anticipation of the 3rd books' release in August, that was one hell of a series, I totally loved it. Could not stop thinking about it the first time I read it.Aleishanoreply@blogger.com
